Activation Instructions
How to Activate IoT SIM Card

Cellular data is turned ON (Go to Settings-Cellular-Cellular Data - ON);

Data Roaming is turned ON (Go to Settings-Cellular-Cellular Data Options-Data roaming - ON);

APN name 'alpha' or 'wholesale' (Go to Settings - Cellular Data - Cellular Data Network - APN: alpha / wholesale.

LTE mode is enabled, VoLTE - OFF (Go to Settings-Cellular-Cellular Data Options-Voice &Data - LTE, VoLTE Off).
- Go to Settings - Connections - Data usage - Mobile Data: ON
- Settings - Connections - Mobile networks - Data roaming: ON
- Settings - Connections - Mobile networks - Network Mode - LTE/3G (auto connect)
- Settings - Connections - Mobile Networks - Access Point Names - In the upper right corner, click three points - Add - APN: wholesale or alpha - Save changes and choose created APN from the list.
- Insert Pond IoT SIM in one of the slots of device
- Plug device to power using power cord and to computer connecting one end of an ethernet cable to the LAN port of your device
- Go to your device’s GUI by typing in 192.168.50.1
- Login using your username and password (both are admin when using the device for the first time)
- On the Dashboard tab, under WAN Connection Status, click on Cellular
- Under Cellular Settings, enable Data Roaming by clicking on the checkbox next to it
- Make sure Operator Settings is set to Custom
- Type in "pnd" in the field next to APN (valid only for the United States, Canada & Mexico)
- Scroll down and click on Save and Apply
- Insert Pond IoT SIM in the SIM slots of device
- Plug device to power using the power cord and to your computer connecting one end of an ethernet cable to the LAN port of your device
- Go to your device’s GUI by typing in 192.168.1
- Type in username: admin and password admin01 (or password created during initial setup)
- Go to Network
- Click on Mobile
- Make sure Auto APN is NOT selected
- On the dropdown menu next to APN, select – custom –
- On the field next to custom APN, type in "pnd" for the United States, Canada & Mexico
- Click Save
Note: with Firmware RUT2_R_00.07.05 and newer, our APN is automatically loaded to the device
- To access your router’s GUI, type in 192.168.0.1 on your web browser address bar
- Enter the username: admin and the password: MM190190500310 (or most recent password created after initial setup).
- Click on Connection Manager
- Look for the device interface profile you want to configure and click on it
- Click on the Edit button
- Click on SIM/APN/Auth
- Click on the drop-down menu next to Access Point Name (APN)
- Click on Select
- Type in the APN "pnd" for the United States, Canada & Mexico
- Click Save
- A pop-up window with the message “Settings were successfully saved” should appear
- Click OK
- Insert your Pond IoT SIM in one of the SIM slots of your device
- Plug your device to a power outlet using the power cord and connect to your computer inserting one end of an ethernet cable to the LAN1 port of your device
- To configure your PC to be on the same IP address as your router follow these steps:
- - Right Click on the Wi-Fi icon of your computer’s task bar
- - Select Network and Internet Settings
- - Scroll down to Advance Network Settings on the menu that appears
- - Scroll to the More Network Adapters and Select this option
- - Then, select the ethernet port that you used for your router connection
- - Once you have selected the ethernet option, click on Properties on the window that appears
- - Find the option for Internet Protocol Version 4 and double click it
- - On the window that pops up for configuring manually or automatically Select automatic
- - Select: Obtain IP Address Automatically, obtain DNS Server Address Automatically
- - Click ok
4. Login to your device’s GUI by typing in 192.168.2.1
5. Enter username: adm and password: 123456 (or password created after initial setup)
6. Go to Status
7. Click on Network Connections
8. Make sure your device is connected and has an IP address
9. To set up the Wi-Fi, follow these steps:
- - Go to Network
- - Click on WLAN
- - Select Enable
- - Adjust the settings for the network as needed
- - Click Apply
10. Try connecting to it
- - Click on the Wi-Fi icon on your computer’s task bar
- - Click on Manage Wi-Fi Connections
- - Find the network on the list, and connect to it
- - Once, you are connected the Wi-Fi connection, you should be up and running
- - Click Apply
